History of KSC

Korumburra Secondary College celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2008. This was not just a celebration of past education, but it was also recognition of facility upgrades and the wonderful opportunities available to our students today at KSC. The beautiful new Performing Arts Centre opened early 2008 added to the positive learning environment in the rural setting.

Surrounded by a picturesque country backdrop and strongly influenced by the rural culture, the college aims to provide educational opportunities for our students which enable them to access tertiary education as well as apprenticeships and careers in local businesses.

As it did 50 years ago, the College has a strong emphasis on developing personal and social skills through the encouragement of cooperation, self discipline and caring for others. The college expects that students will be committed to a high level of achievement, to work to the best of their ability, be active in and responsible for their learning and show care and respect for college, teachers, other students and the environment.
